Reviews
"Strong performances from Clarkson and Huffman bolster the film, but both roles require playing off Phoebe in all her myriad emotions, and thus the film weighs heavily on the petite shoulders of young Miss Fanning, who proves herself more than equal to the task. Fanning was quite good in Babel, but she's pretty brilliant here, perfectly capturing Phoebe in all her extremes; it's a performance quite beyond Fanning's young years, but she nails it to the wall. There's a certain luminous quality about her, and she lights up the screen in every scene."

"And Elle Fanning definitely IS as freakily good as Dakota. (What was in their baby formula?)"
MTV Review - Phoebe in Wonderland
"The mesmerizing performance of Fanning as the gifted and troubled young Phoebe sparks the picture. Charismatic and graceful, Fanning is wondrous."
Hollywood Reporter - Phoebe in Wonderland
"It is easy to fall in love with the character of Phoebe, as little Elle Fanning gives one hell of a performance. She is funny, she sings and she delivers a riveting, teary-eyed scene toward the end of the film that will leave few dry eyes in the house. Forget about Dakota, little Elle is going to be quite an actress."
Film School Rejects Review - Phoebe in Wonderland
"I think Elle Fanning is going to be the Meryl Streep of the next generation.”
Terry George - Director of Reservation Road
"And Elle Fanning… One take at an audition and I knew. She is a genius actor. She has that acting talent that will be with her all of her life and she will be the next generation’s Meryl Streep or something like that and Eddie Alderson had worked a lot in television and soap operas and so the casting was not a problem in the slightest."
Terry George - Director of Reservation Road
"Elle was the life of the set. She's a genius actor who can mimic anyone. She'd do Joaquin and Jennifer all the time. She would do models on the runway and say, 'Here's my Naomi Campbell!'"
Terry George - Director of Reservation Road
"Elle Fanning as Learner's daughter Emma proves once and for all that there are authentic thespian genes in the Fanning (think Dakota) household."
Pleasantweekly about Elle in Reservation Road
"Even with a number of Oscar-nominated and Oscar-winning actors, don't expect any Oscar-worthy performances, with the exception of cute-as-a-button Elle Fanning who, like her sister Dakota, has the acting virus pulsing through her veins. The grown-ups in this movie could really learn a thing or two."
